良質なメリノウールを使用した朱子織りのドスキン素材。一般的にタキシードに使われるような高密素材で柔らかさと光沢感が特徴。通常より染色時間を長くし「黒より黒い」濃染加工をすることで よりシャープで深い黒色を表現している。ジャケットのラペル巾との対比でネクタイ巾を設定し、グラフペーパーのジャケットに最適なネクタイ巾として6センチで設定。
