2017年にドイツ・ベルリンにてイゾルデ・オーギュスト・リッチリーにより設立。ブランド名のポリプロイドは化学用語で、「多倍数体」を意味。「事実はない。あるのは解釈だ。」をコンセプトに、アウトラインを固定したひとつのアイテムを3種類の異なる素材と色で展開。生産はドイツおよび日本で行い、ヨーロッパのマテリアルはドイツで縫製され、日本のマテリアルは日本で作られる。
